Apply for a library card! Library cards are available to residents of Orange County.
Ecards are available to access our online databases, full access library cards do not need a separate Ecard.
Apply in-person on 1st floor at our service desk or pre-apply online and visit us in-person to receive a card.
Library policies reflect our commitment to freedom of access to information as well as privacy and confidentiality.
Children
Children younger than 10 years must be accompanied by a parent, guardian and/or an older companion while in the library.
Library Cards
Library cards are not transferrable. Using another person's library card to place holds, check-out materials, or use a computer is prohibited. Library cards are available to everyone in Orange County. Guest passes may be use to use technology but cannot check out material.
A replacement for a lost library card will be issued upon proof of identification at no cost.
Loan Period
Most library items are borrowed for three weeks and may be renewed if the item(s) are not reserved.

Loan/Reserve limit per library cardholder are as follows:
50 total items on a library card
one hotspot and one chromebook
Fees
Westminster Public library does not charge fees for late materials, with the exception of technology. The library expects patrons to return material on due dates in order for material to be available to other patrons.
Patrons who do not return their library items will be responsible for the replacement cost of the item.
Past due technology is subject to late fees starting at $5 per day late. Read terms contract when checking out technology.

Need to borrow a laptop? The Westminster Public Library offers laptops loans.
Check out desk on the 1st floor. Patrons must have good standing with the library and must be 18+. Those under 18 may check one out with a parent or guardian present.
Check out is limited to 14 days. First come, first serve basis.
