You may rent up to 15 items at a time. All loans are automatically renewed two times as a courtesy, with reminders via text or email. However, if a borrowed item is requested by another patron during this time, you are expected to return the material on the originally agreed-upon return date. After your complimentary renewals, you are expected to renew each item via your online account or in-person at the circulation desk.
If items are not properly renewed, returned, or are damaged, fines may be enforced.
Please contact the circulation desk with any questions at (222)222-2222.
Loan limits on circulating materials:
Non-circulating materials are also available in our library on a first-come, first-served basis. Some restrictions may apply.
Some of our regular circulating materials include books, textbooks, DVD's, and games. We offer many online resources that may be utilized remotely with your online library account. These include options like audiobooks, access to our database subscriptions, digital resources, music streaming, as well as eLearning services. Our library also holds many non-circulating resources such as laptops and other electronics, historical newspapers, zines, and magazines.
Though not all materials may circulate out of the library, members are able to access many of these offerings through their online library accounts.
Please refer to our policies above for details on borrowing materials.

Each month, we invite our library visitors to participate in a book club. Books are voted on by participating members of the club each quarter and meetings are held in one of our conference rooms once a week to discuss thoughts or theories. The book club is intended for ages 16 and up, but is available to all ages with parental consent.
Anyone may join at any time, please review our calendar for our current list of selected books.
Please visit our one of our library's service desks for more information.

At the Chumash Public Library, we offer a variety of services catered to our youth's education.
Each week day, we hold a Kid's Club in our Children's Library from 3pm - 5pm for after-school studies, tutoring, or leisure activities.
On weekends, our Kid's Club is held from 12pm - 3pm and hosts different members from our community who offer exciting learning experiences. Activities may include anything from crafts, to sports, or even environmental education. All are welcome, ages 18 and under.
This program is free, though donations are appreciated.
