The Daylily Library's Reading Rooms are currently available for reservation by appointment only.
The Daylily Library provides five Reading Rooms for reservation: the Audre Lorde, Radclyffe Hall, Nathalie Barney, Sarah Orne Jewett, and Sarah Waters Reading Rooms.
☙ The Reading Rooms are available for reservation during the Library's hours of operation (Thurs-Sun 12pm-7pm).
☙ To reserve a room, please contact the Library by calling (503) 007-1955, or emailing us at services@daylilylbr.com.
☙ All reservation requests must be made at least 24-hours prior to the reservation time.
☙ Call or email our service desk to reserve a room, indicating intended date and time of room usage. Our staff will confirm your appointment time, or suggest alternate reservation times if we are fully booked.
☙ Upon confirming your appointment with our staff, you will receive a confirmation email containing additional information for your visit, as well as a notice of which room has been reserved.
☙ There is no food, gum, or drink permitted in any of the Reading Rooms.
☙ If viewing or using any archival materials, please be sure to handle them carefully. Do not stack the materials, place objects on top of the materials, or attempt to edit the materials in any way.
☙ Pencils are the only writing utensils permitted for usage within the Library's Reading Rooms.
☙ Photography of library materials is permitted for personal usage only.
The Daylily Library hosts an on-site Archive dedicated to the preservation of letters, documents, photographs, and works relating to queer women creatives. Materials from the Archive are available for viewing upon appointment only, and must be returned to a member of our Archives staff prior to leaving the library. Materials will be collected ten minutes prior to the library's closing.
